Dear Colleagues:

A couple years ago, Dr. Loretta Ford named a group of NP’s volunteers performing community projects her “NP Force”. Since then, this core group has grown and has done many other good deeds by networking together. NPs are true servant leaders and we need your help now for the USVI.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, it's vital that communities can recover and support each other. I have been asked by our NP colleague, Naita Salmon, APRN, the AANP State Representative in USVI to share this:

Our 2nd Annual Silent Auction Fundraiser, titled “Havana Nights” is scheduled for September 30, 2017 at 6:30PM, at Fort Frederik. “Hurricane Irma” has left our community in a state of despair & disrepair and we need your help! While St. Croix did not suffer a direct hit from “Irma”, our sister islands – St. Thomas, St. John, and Water Island did not fare well. St Croix has the only hospital not battered by the storm serving all the Islands now.

Our goal is to still hold this event, but we need your support to make it happen. I’d like to ask my APRN colleagues and friends on the mainland to purchase and donate an event ticket so that we may offer it to the hard working volunteers and first responders. It a small way to thank them and celebrate together as a community dealing with such horrible destruction.

The event tickets are $55 ticket each or you may donate in any amount you can. Your donation helps the relief efforts, shows gratitude to the volunteers and first responders, and also supports Project Promise’s mission to our youth as we rebuild St. Croix. Please hurry the event is near – need to have tickets to volunteers before September 30th!
